Characteristics

The compact body with a square base of 900×900 mm and a depth of 400 mm is designed to house medium-configuration equipment installed outdoors. Area of application

The 900×900×400 mm dimensions allow several groups of circuit breakers, contactors, terminal blocks, metering devices and small-automation controllers to be placed on the mounting panel and DIN rail. The insulated body with 50 mm mineral wool and a gasket around the door perimeter suits installation outside heated premises, where equipment is exposed to precipitation and temperature fluctuations. The cable glands provide organised and protected entry of power and low-current cables.

The ShU482 format is convenient where more capacity than a wall-mounted box is needed but a full-size floor-standing cabinet is too large for the area. The wall mounting and moderate depth of 400 mm allow the body to be installed on posts, building walls and steel frames without a separate foundation.
