Sfera ShU 680×550×430 IP54 cabinet

Characteristics

The compact Sfera ShU 476 outdoor cabinet with dimensions of 680×550×430 mm is designed to house a small set of equipment – metering, switching or automation – in outdoor conditions. A galvanised steel body with polymer powder coating and 50 mm mineral wool insulation provides IP54 protection and keeps the units working through temperature changes and precipitation. This size is chosen when a wall-mounted or support-mounted cabinet is needed for one or two groups of equipment without excess internal volume.

Area of application

The 680×550×430 mm cabinet allows a mounting panel or DIN rail with one or two rows of modular devices – circuit breakers, RCDs, terminal blocks, as well as a small metering device or controller – to be placed. This volume is enough for a compact switching or metering node without spare room for expansion, so the cabinet is used where the equipment composition is determined in advance and no significant increase is expected.

Cable glands, a gasketed door with a lock and 50 mm insulation make the cabinet suitable for open installation outdoors – on a building wall, post or structure. To order, the body is equipped with heating, ventilation, a thermostat, a canopy or an inspection window, so it can be adapted to specific operating conditions. The small dimensions and wall or support mounting make the cabinet a convenient solution where there is no room for a large distribution cabinet.

Where it is used:

  • electricity metering point at the service entrance of a building or structure;
  • switching point for lighting a territory, car park or courtyard;
  • housing a controller and automation of video surveillance or communication systems;
  • distribution node for connecting temporary or auxiliary consumers at a site;
  • automation cabinet for a pumping station or a low-power water supply node;
  • protective housing for security alarm and access control system equipment at a facility.
