Sfera ShU 2000×1100×900 IP54 cabinet

Characteristics

The large-format floor-standing insulated cabinet of 2000×1100×900 mm (ShU555) is designed to house bulky electrical equipment – from distribution panels to automation systems. Mineral wool 50 mm and an IP54 body protect the contents in outdoor installation. These dimensions are chosen when several functional nodes need to be combined in one body without being spread across separate cabinets.

Area of application

The dimensions of 2000×1100×900 mm allow several mounting panels or DIN rails to be placed on two or three tiers, which gives space for service entrance, metering, distribution and automation at once. A cabinet of this volume (≈1.98 m³) holds main distribution devices, automation panels with a reserve for connecting cabinet options, and cable entries through glands from several sides.

The floor installation format on a plinth or supports is convenient where the equipment is operated on an open site or under a canopy and requires protection from dust and moisture to IP54. Body insulation reduces the effect of temperature changes on the electronics, and the increased depth of 900 mm makes maintenance easier – the installer gets free access to equipment installed in several rows.

Where it is used:

  • power industry – metering and distribution nodes at substations and service entrances;
  • municipal utilities – panel equipment of pumping stations and boiler houses;
  • industry – automation cabinets for process lines;
  • telecommunications – housing power and switching equipment at communication sites;
  • road infrastructure – control panels for lighting and traffic light facilities;
  • construction – temporary and permanent distribution points at sites.
