Characteristics

The ShU 1600×800×630 mm (IP54) floor-standing insulated cabinet from URMKS is designed to house large electrical sets that require significant mounting space and protection from outdoor conditions. The height of 1600 mm and depth of 630 mm allow several rows of equipment to be installed on DIN rails and the mounting panel, and mineral wool insulation 50 mm ensures stable operation of the equipment outside heated premises. This format is in demand where one small cabinet does not hold the whole required set of equipment.

Area of application

The dimensions of 1600×800×630 mm give sufficient mounting area to house several automation panels, power devices, terminal blocks and cable entries in one body. This area holds medium-power metering and distribution panels, process control system sets with a controller and I/O modules, and also communication and telemechanics systems with backup power – without having to divide the equipment among several separate cabinets.

The body is installed on a plinth or supports on open sites, next to buildings and utility structures, where IP54 protection and insulation against temperature changes are required. The floor-standing version simplifies maintenance of large equipment and makes routing cables through glands from below or the side of the cabinet easier. To order, the cabinet is supplemented with heating, ventilation, a thermostat or a canopy for specific operating conditions.
