Sfera ShU 1200×700×400 IP54 cabinet

Characteristics

The insulated outdoor body of 1200×700×400 mm is designed to house medium-volume automation – main devices, metering devices, relays and terminal blocks – in places where there is no heated room. Mineral wool 50 mm thick and a gasketed door protect the equipment from freezing and precipitation, and the IP54 protection rating allows the cabinet to be operated in the open air. The wall-mounted version simplifies installation on a wall, post or steel structure without an additional base.

Area of application

The dimensions of 1200×700×400 mm allow several groups of circuit breakers, an electricity meter, contactors, terminal rows and low-current equipment to be placed on a mounting panel or DIN rail while leaving room to route cables through glands. This volume suits metering points and distribution points serving one facility or section of a network, without having to split the load among several bodies.

The mineral wool thermal insulation protects electronics and contacts from condensation and temperature changes when used outdoors, and the wall mounting makes it possible to install on a building wall, power line pole, fence or steel post. This is convenient where there is no permanent structure for a switchroom and the equipment must remain accessible for maintenance and visual inspection.

Where it is used:

  • electricity metering points at the boundary of network balance-sheet responsibility;
  • distribution points of street lighting and outdoor illumination;
  • control panels for pumping stations and drainage systems;
  • automation of gates, barriers and checkpoints;
  • housing communication and video surveillance equipment at facilities without buildings;
  • main distribution boards for temporary and auxiliary structures.
