Characteristics

The floor-standing outdoor cabinet of the ShU604 series with external dimensions of 1000×800×400 mm is designed to house a medium-sized set of equipment requiring protection from precipitation and moderate insulation. This size is optimal when one wall-mounted box is no longer enough and a full-size floor-standing cabinet is not rational. The galvanised steel body with powder coating and mineral wool 50 mm provides protection rating IP54 and suits installation on a plinth or supports.

Area of application

The ShU604 cabinet allows several DIN rails or a mounting panel with equipment of medium density to be placed: metering devices, circuit breakers, terminal groups, low-current and switching equipment, power supplies. The depth of 400 mm gives room for installing bulkier components and arranging cable space without overloading the internal volume.

The floor-standing cabinet format is convenient where stand-alone installation outside a building is needed – on a site, by a fence, on a post or plinth – with no dependence on a load-bearing wall. The basic configuration includes a door with a gasket and lock, a mounting panel or DIN rail, and cable glands for cable entries; heating, ventilation, a thermostat, a canopy and an inspection window are supplied to order.
