Sfera Combo FL–2–1750x550x560–1–1–0 combination cabinet
- Description
- Features of the
Sfera combination cabinet is a specialised two-section cabinet designed for the safe storage of flammable liquids and chemical acids and alkalis. The upper and lower parts of the cabinet are reliably isolated from each other. This equipment is an excellent alternative to two separate cabinets for flammable liquids and chemical reagents, because they take up twice as much space and require greater expense.
Section 1 (lower) with 90B fire resistance
The lower section of the Sfera combination cabinethas fire resistance class 90B. This means that if the cabinet door is closed, in case of fire it will keep the flammable liquids placed in it safe for 90 minutes.
The flammable liquid storage section is made in accordance with GOST R 50862-2012 and R 57384-2017. This is confirmed by the corresponding fire tests. Equivalent of the TYPE 90 certificate under the European standard EN 14470-1.
Such cabinets are equipped with a ventilation system with fusible links for automatic blocking of the ventilation openings when the temperature rises to 70±10°C. Automatic blocking of the doors when the ambient temperature rises to 70±10 °C is also provided.
Section 2 (upper) for storing chemical acids, alkalis and caustic substances
The upper sectionof the Sfera combination cabinet is designed for the safe storage of chemical reagents. Inside – 2 convenient shelves on which you can place laboratory glassware with reagents. The storage area is lined with polypropylene, a material with a high level of chemical resistance. This extends the service life of the cabinet. At the base of the upper section there is a sealed polypropylene spill tray.
A system of ventilation ducts removes light and heavy vapours from all levels of the cabinet. The diameter of the flange for connection to ventilation is 100 mm.
The locks, also made of corrosion-resistant material, restrict unauthorised access to the contents of the cabinet.

Section 1 (lower) for storing flammable liquids:
- Fire resistance class – 90B.
- The flammable liquid storage section is made in accordance with GOST R 50862-2012 and R 57384-2017. Equivalent of the TYPE 90 certificate under the European standard EN 14470-1.
- The double-skin cabinet is made of steel sheet 1-1,5 mm thick with a polymer powder coating.
- The fireproof heat-insulating material between the cabinet walls has a layered structure, which gives the design a high fire resistance class.
- In a fire, the double thermally expanding gasket fills the internal cavity of openings and holes, thus providing isolation from subsequent exposure to hot and cold smoke/steam.
- Ventilation system with fusible links for automatic blocking of the ventilation openings when the temperature rises to 70±10°C.
- Automatic closing and blocking of the doors is provided when the ambient temperature rises to 70±10°C.
- Sealed galvanised spill tray in the base of the cabinet with a rim 35 mm high. The tray is coated with a special paint resistant to chemical attack. Liquid capacity – up to 5 litres.
- Galvanised shelf. The shelf is painted with a special paint resistant to chemical attack.
- The design and coating of the shelves let spilled liquid drain into the tray.
- Lock system with key locking.
- The cabinet door has a metal plate with the fire resistance class, applied by laser cutting.
Section 2 (upper) for storing chemical acids, alkalis and caustic substances:
- The inner capsule is made of polypropylene.
- The locks are made of chemically resistant material.
- 2 ventilation openings on the rear wall.
- Ventilation connection nozzle Ø100 mm.
- Sealed polypropylene spill tray in the base of the cabinet.
- 2 height-adjustable polypropylene shelves.
